Susan Pattinson, R.N., CHPN (Sangita Dasi), a Registered Nurse and Certified Hospice and Palliative Care Nurse, has spent 18 years caring for the terminally ill and their families. She co-founded Vaisnavas C.A.R.E. (Counseling, Assistance, Resource and Education for the Terminally ill and their Families), an international, non-profit organization that assists in hospice situations. Susan Pattinson assisted with the design and building of the Bhaktivedanta Hospice in Vrindavan, India, a 40.000 square foot inpatient hospice facility that cares for local villagers and Westerners alike who seek end-of-life care. She also wrote the nursing curriculum for this facility and has helped train the medical personnel.
